These are patterns I have compiled by reading, trading, talking with and swapping with other people on streams and rivers across North America. Some are old patterns and some are new. Some aren't from places you would really think about having much to do with fly fishing. For some flies, there is one version. For others, there are many versions.

I'm not posting any of these with any interest of who did what, when, where, or how. I have posted these so others may use and enjoy them.

If I have used a particular fly extensively, I will make a comment on it; otherwise it is up to the tyer to decide if they want to try it in any specific area. Some people feel we should all be entomologists and "Match the Hatch" on a consistent basis and that we aren't "fly fishing" if we don't. Everyone has their own way because it's not worthy of an argument.

Some of us just want to have fun and catch some fish. That should be what it's all about.
